Shore Fishing Rigs

There are many different types of fishing rigs that you can use for shore fishing. Some of these rigs are fairly easy to use and set up while others are a little bit more complicated. In this article I am going to talk about some of the rigs that work best and when it is the best time to use them.

Pennel Rig

The first rig that I am going to talk about is the Pennel Rig. This is rig is used so that a large hook is on the top of the line while the smaller hook is on the bottom. Generally this type of rig is great for fishing for large fish. It does however work well for small fish as well.

The reason why there are two hooks is because big fish do not always bite the hooks exactly where it is on spot. Also, because of the fact that the fish is very large the second hook has a chance of sinking in as well. This type of rig is a very good safety rig.

Pulley Rig

The second type of rig is the pulley rig. This type of rig will require that you hook 3 swivels, a weight clip and a piece of bread on it. This type of rig is used because it creates a low resistance when the fish take the bait. This is will increase your chances of catching a fish.

This type of rig is also great for reducing the chances of snagging your line.

There are many more types of rigs and this article is just sort of used to give you an idea. A fishing rig is very beneficial and is not that hard to set up at all.
